smartEditor and Esri GPT

Daniel Nüst
Hi all!

I'm trying to install smartEditor as the editor for Esri Geoportal
Server (Esri GPT). I'm using the guide in the wiki [1].

In the section "Using ESRI ArcGIS Server JS API for map widget" [2] it
is stated that "It is possible to switch the map widget inside of
smartEditor between an OpenLayers based or an ArcGIS Server based
implementation."

Can someone confirm that it is indeed possible to use the
OpenLayers-version of smartEditor within Esri GPT?

Thanks!

/Daniel

Re: smartEditor and Esri GPT

Hi Daniel,

you can simply use the plain smartEditor web app from [1] to run the integration with an OpenLayers based map.

Personally I have not tried this combination yet, but I don't see a reason why it should not work. The smartEditor is put into the GPT app via an iframe during runtime, so both applications are quite separated.

Warm regards,
Kristian
